BACKGROUND

The number of softball-related injuries is growing at an alarming rate. SPS has devleoped a comprehensive performance conditioning program specific to the softball player. By teaching young players how to condition and strengthen their bodies, we hope to assist in the longevity of their athletic careers.

SPS's program is tailored to softball players and designed to provide specific conditionning protocols and strategies to provide a comprehensive approach to assists in reducing the potential for injury. This holistic approach is essential to increase overall strength, flexibility, power, speed, and agility.

During this program. the player will implement muscular strength and endurance exercises as well as specific plyometrics to provide the essentials for explosive power. Softball conditioning is differnet form other sports because the athletes is not trying to devleop as much muscle mass as possible. The softball player needs to have lean body mass, muscular endurance, and great flexibility. This program is specifically designed to incorporate each of these aspects into the overall performance of the athlete.
